Perigord house
Perigord is a former province of France. The Perigord region in France was divided into 4 parts- White Perigord, Green Perigord, Purple Perigord and Black Perigord. Perigord house is very beautifully made and somehow is very unique in its creation.
There is no any particular property type in the areas of Perigord but the local materials which are used to build these houses vary widely and so the character, aspect and the design of the houses in Perigord. Granite is the chief material used in the construction of houses. Schist and sandstone, which are calcareous materials, are used to build houses in central Perigord. Roofs also vary from region to region like in eastern parts, slate roofs are used and tiled roofs are common in White Perigord.
